My Writing Roots
Yep, I learned to write on a typewriter just like this one. It had a ribbon, no erase button. The letters were often not lined up properly, but I learned to type well on this thing. I wrote all kinds of stories for school and for pleasure. My mom would say, "You're going to be a writer or an English professor when you grow up." Well, she got it half right.
My First Published Story
I received an electric typewriter for a gift when I was 24. I was ecstatic and wrote all kinds of stories on it. So much faster. It was on one of these that I wrote my first published short story, "The Don't be Normal Club" under the pen name Jennifer Lang. It was about an exclusive unique club my friend and I started in high school. I'm still the President.

I'm delighted to be writing on a laptop now. The portability is key as I never know when inspiration will strike. Sometimes it happens when I'm traveling. I find it helpful to write some every day. I was always a fast typist. On this baby I zoom! My first two books were written on my current laptop. Poor thing is overworked.

I'm still mulling over whether I want to publish this one under my name or a pen name. The dark likes to take out people who are here to bring light, to heal, help others and help raise the frequency of our planet and people. I have learned to protect myself. But I am always more concerned about those I love, than myself.
